Lakeview Cottage

My 3 sisters and I stayed at the Lakeview Cottage for 5 days and had a lovely time. We enjoyed the cottage and had lots of laughs. The location is very quiet and easy to get to town.

We were disappointed with our stay and felt that parts of the listing were misleading. The property does not have the lake view we expected from the listing description and photos, and there is no public access to the lake. The home is equipped with only two small desk fans, which were not adequate to keep the house comfortable. We arrived during a heat wave, and the house became very hot, making it difficult to cool down. We were also surprised that the screened porch is enclosed with plexiglass, which wasn't clear from the listing and limited the outdoor experience. There is very little comfortable outdoor seating to relax and enjoy the property, and while a grill is provided, there are no grilling tools. In addition, the kitchen lacked several basic essentials, making meal preparation more difficult than expected. Overall, we did not feel the home was set up for a comfortable stay, and we believe the listing should more accurately describe the property's features and amenities so future guests know what to expect.
