Periwinkle

Despite horrible weather (nor'easter so we had one sunny day out of six) we had a nice stay at Periwinkle Cottage. The dock is a wonderful place to sit in the sun and watch the lobster boats come and go, and also has a great view of the swing bridge. You can walk to Robinson's Wharf for a great lobster dinner or do takeout. The seared sesame tuna, fried clams, and wedge salad were excellent. The Sea Maine host/property manager kept in touch with very good information in the days and weeks before our scheduled arrival, including friendly reminders about our stay and information on local restaurants and businesses. The cottage was spotless and any questions we had during our stay were quickly answered via text. We would definitely use Sea Maine Vacation Rentals again.

The porch/view were lovely. The bathroom could use attention. We received a full roll and partial roll of toilet paper. As far as we could tell, that was all there was for us. We bought a roll of toilet paper just in case. That's the first time we had to do that in a vacation rental. Toilet paper rationing? The handle in the shower was tight and difficult to turn. I have little grip strength in my fingers so it was difficult. I think that could be improved. The bathroom sink drained slowly. On the 3rd day I took out the sink stopper. It was black with goo and long hairs. We both have short hair- this was not our hair. I cleaned it out. The cottage is good on its own and does not need the abundance of beachy decorations. Simpler would be better. The bedroom was ample, with space on both sides of the bed. We liked that. The sheets were nothing special, not crisp or remarkable in any way. The notebook doesn't tell you where the garbage. We did figure that out, only to find a garbage bag in there torn apart by a critter. Not our garbage. Not sure if we would book again.

We had a wonderful stay at Periwinkle Cottage and spent lots of time on the porch enjoying the beautiful view. It was fun watching the activities….the swing bridge opening and closing for large boats, lobstermen coming in and out with their catch. The cottage was very comfortable and the kitchen had all we needed. Thank you for a great stay!

Periwinkle cottage was very cute and immaculate. It was in a good location for everything we wanted to see. We enjoyed sitting on the boat dock. It was very peaceful.

Exceptional stay at your exceptional cottage. You are a wonderful host. Everything is perfect just the way it is, trapped in better times and for that reason I was healed. Your cottage, the care you take for the customers and the care you take for the cottage Is something I have never experienced with a rental before.I can't thank you enough for everything. I will be back with my loved ones so that they can experience it too.
